Inserting background image in each post?

    I have hunted all over for this and cannot find what I need. That would be to have a background image behind each post. I need to know where to insert it and how. I am relative new to customizing w-p so any minor detial is appreciated. i also need to know how to get it to expand to fit the post length. i want the top part of the image the same the rest doesnt matter. I also need to be able to do the same insert for the sidebar.

    Do you mean the same bg-image for all the posts or something different? The latter one I don’t know – unless it’s based on category or some other thing they have in common.
    If you just want a bg for the post, depending on your theme you’ll have to define a bg-image in the CSS file for the div where your posts are.

    Well, for alternating different ones, there’s alternation built into the post css too, I think.
