Sorry for the delay in responding… for some reason I’m not getting notified on forum posts any more.

Not sure what you mean. What do you mean by “when their corresponding post-type is used”? Custom fields are associated to post-types… what do you mean by “relevant”?

If you can be more specific, then we can file a feature in the issue tracker: http://code.google.com/p/wordpress-custom-content-type-manager/issues/list

    Hi fireproofsocks

Sorry for my confusing question. What I wanted to ask is that I have created many field types and I don’t want them to appear on every single post. I wanted to category field types, so that only assigned categories would appear on a selected post type. Hope it is clear.

If I understand you correctly, then this is already implemented: you create as many post-types as you want, then you choose which fields you want to appear on each. That’s a fundamental part of the plugin’s functionality.

If you’re talking about having one set of fields on one post and another set of fields on another when both posts are the SAME post-type, then I’d argue that that’s a bad idea.
