[Plugin: Duplicator] "Operation not permitted" Error at line 324

    Hello and thanks for your work.

    I’ve tried to install this both ways: via WordPress CP and Uploading it via FTP and the result is the same. Doesn’t work.

    When trying to activate the plugin I get the following message:

    “
    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: Operation not permitted in /hosting/softgil/public_html/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/inc/functions.php on line 324
    “

    FYI, I have permissions set as 755, as it should be and all other plugins work ok.

    Any suggestions?

    Hey SoftGil,

    It looks like your host has the PHP chmod disabled on your server. You can try a few things.

    1. See if your host will enable the command.

    2. Submit a support ticket to support.lifeinthegrid.com and I’ll work with you to get your version enabled.

    Hi lifeinthegrid.

    Sorry the late reply but I went into the process of changing hosting company. Previous one acknowledge they indeed HAVE chmod disabled and no way they WILL ever go to enabled it. I then switch to another hosting company and everything is running smooth. At least I don’t have the above error message. I will conduct further testing shortly as DNS replication due to hosting change is still in place. I will post here should any problems arise.
