I am looking for code to be placed in my theme(javascript not allowed)
want to make a menu with:
    -bookmark this page.
    -mail page-link to a friend
    -google+ recommend
all the code I can find so far is javascript based, was hoping someone here can help me into the right direction!

    (javascript not allowed)

    Why?

I am using atahualpa for theme.
the socialmedia icons must come into “Overlay Header Image container”
Since version 3.6.5 PHP code cannot be used anymore.

I want my social media icons streamline, reduce the number of plugins
and figuring out the correct code I see as brain training.
I’m just not sure if this is without javascript (I found so far only js)

You are not making any sense mate. Any code can go anywhere. What’s the link to your site? and explain exactly where you want the buttons.

    my site,
The creators of the theme should I take quite know where the JS works or not within their theme?!

What have I said that wasn’t “Kind”? Or do I owe you anything? I said you are not making any sense, and you did not. Whether it’s the language barrier or you are too sensitive is really not my problem. I was trying to help you for no pay and pension so if you are offended, take it somewhere else.

the fact I don’t make sence, or do I interpret that wrong/forget it…./… kicked google translate out.

Making Sense = To be coherent
    Coherent = Understandable

These are not insults, they are common English words, and they are very very polite.

As to your problem, you need to disable the right click restriction on your site so people can inspect your layout and code.

It’s not disabled yet but no worries. Where do you want those buttons? higher? lower? somewhere else?

    sorry didn’t empty my cache..
the buttons are on the place I want them

So now that i can access it, could you please explain what you mean by making a menu? Do you want them to be simple links?

    Thread Starter kletskater

    (@kletskater)

I mean separate icons, as now aligned, menu was not the right word to use
the problem is that code is not working as i would like
For “google +” I can not find the code that applies to “linkedin” Would like those two to be “like/recommend buttons”.
The code for “mail-page link” does not function (the link / url of the page is not in the mail body)
-“bookmark this page” there is a lot of code to find but I do not get it working

Short answer/ yes simple links to the like/share/recommend possibility of google+, linkedin, (facebook like is also not quite what I hoped it to be) it likes only the domain not the separate pages/posts

I see what you are trying to do. If i may suggest, use a plugin from the hundreds of plugins available on WP to do the job as there are many issue the way you are doing it. Bookmark this doesn’t work on every browser, mailto only works if the visitor has an email client like Outlook, otherwise you need a server-side form and Google plus is a javascript driven button.

Go with a plugin, and you can position the buttons in your header just like they are now.

in the worst case I’ll be forced to use a plugin.
Do you know one that can do all? “share this” by example
