[Plugin: WP Photo Album Plus] Old versions stored in plug-in sub-folders?

    Hi,

    The WPPA+ plug-in seems to be growing exponentially and is now over 36MB! The problem seems to be sub-folders which contain previous releases, i.e. 4.5.4, 4.5.3 and 4.5.0. These also contain subfolders of the previous releases on a recursive basis.

    I too find the plug-in does not reactivate automatically any more after updating.

    Just investigating a bit more as the size of this plugin is stopping my wordpress backups running…

    I have just downloaded the plug-in direct from the repository, version 4.5.6. and I have found around 7 extra copies of most files in the following directories:
    /4.5.0 (4MBytes)
    /4.5.3 (8MB)
    /4.5.4 (16MB)

    These directories are alongside the expected /images, /langs, /theme, /watermarks and the wppa-***.php files.

    I assume it’s safe just to delete these folders, which brings the total size of the plug-in files back to around 4MB.

    Thanx for this report. Something went wrong with the repository.
    I removed the old versions, its back to 4.32 MB now.
    I did not bump the version number.
    De-activate and delete the plugin and install from the plugins page or from a fresh download.
