    Hi according to the instruction of this page – http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page I create the page and changed to “A static page” and then made as “front page”

    But how to do this third point “3.Enable “Permalinks” to show the “page title” in the address, since /index.php?p=423 defeats the purpose of making a static front page.” pls help

  • 1. login into your wp-admin/dashboard area
    2. on the left sidebar, point to Settings -> Permalinks
    3. choose your desired options, usually for best results, you need to choose option 3 (Month and name)
    4. then click Save Changes

    Thanks. 3 option is already selected but in home page edit option appears only in top grey bar..I couldn’t see it below and page is not getting updated even after choosing as “A static page” and then from selecting “Front page” in Setting > Reading..I was trying to figure out the problem from yesterday
