Cannot activate Portfolio Press

    WP shows Portfolio Press as my current theme and it seems to be properly installed in my Web Host server’s “file manager.”

    The WP default themes activate & work fine, but Portfolio Press and some other add-on (Free WP) themes will not activate.

    I used my Web Host, IPOWER, to automatically install WordPress from their control panel, and everything seems to work fine, except the desired Portfolio Press theme.

    I installed Portfolio Press using the instructions in your video.

    How can i fix this problem?

    This is one of the best themes out there and it also provides support.

    You need to go here: http://wptheming.com/2010/07/portfolio-theme/ and read instructions, and it will work. Setting up the “Portfolio” part is in the video as well.

    Yeah, that Portfolio Press looks great and has the capabilities that i want.
    I think the PP theme is now activated at one of my websites: http://www.texwebster.com/ But, my page looks nothing like the demo.
    Setting it up to look & work anything like i want is probably gonna be impossible for me — several hours already down the drain.
    Also, I looked at http://artbabyart.com/main. It’s a nice site, and I think i’ll be able to achieve that level of complexity pretty soon. However, I’m looking to create something different, along the lines of this website:

    I especially like the intuitive flow. Yet, i want even more features and capabilities.
    I thought WP was suppose to be easy — HTML seems easier at this point.
    I’ve looked at the video several times. However, i’ll check everything out again.
