[Plugin: disqus] Disqus export does not keep avatars

I have a bunch of comments in wordpress comments – users have their own avatar showing in the comments.

When I click ‘Export’, the export completes, the comments then show up in Disqus, but the avatars are using the default avatar.

How can I get the Export feature to export the avatars also?
