I would double check and make sure your media settings are correct. Can the web server write to the media folder? If it can’t, that would be a good reason why it can’t import the images.
Where do I find the information on what my media settings should be. Where do I make those changes in wordpress. Or do you make the change on your ftp file manager settings under wp-content/images/uploads
Please let me know where to find this info
Thank you
Faith

It does not have a box to check for images. Is this the way it is in wordpress.com?
Can you move these images for me. I can give you my account info and I have a guest user set up in wordpress.org
How do I know or check on that?
Have a look at the .xml export file.
Here is a small exerpt from the .xml file. Looks to be like the images are in there

I can’t see any images in that code.
Now try navigating to that image’s url.
yes….it is viewable….but my wordpress.org site will not import these images. Are you saying that I will just have to keep them hosted on wordpress.com and there is no way to import them over to my self hosted worpress?
it is viewable
Now try logging out of your wordpress.com site and viewing the image.
