Playing video…

I am having issues with playing video on my site. I have searched a lot with no real answer to this question. I have been using JW Player with major buffering issues. So here is my question. Using an FTP client, I have uploaded very large HD video to my server. I want to post these videos on my website main page. What is the best way to do this? If its JW player, I will work with them but I just want some way to play video from my server without buffering. Thanks!
