PhpBB3 login for wordpress on another site

Hey,
I have 2 websites. One is a forum, and one (which I’m currently making) is a wordpress. I’d like the wordpress to use my forum database. So users who have a forum account will have access to comment on the wordpress without the need to make a new account or log in again if they have already logged in on the forums. Also, users who create an account on the WP site should be able to use that account on the PHPBB forum.

It seems that all the mods I could find by searching the subject have been discontinued and are no longer available…
Does anyone know of an up to date mod that can do this? Or is there code available to get this done?
