Any theme can be used on a non-blog site. Try browsing through http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/
Whoaaaaa super fastly answer.
Well pretty sure I don’t know how to work properly with a theme.
Could you advise me any theme for a website whatever it’s just for test and learn
Regards
It you want to just learn how to use WordPress and you aren’t doing any theme customisation, I’d just stick with Twenty Eleven or Twenty Ten for now. Create a static front page for the site, turn off commenting (via Settings->Discussion) and stick to just publishing Pages rather than Posts.
Voila – a standard non-blog site. 🙂
Amazing all is done. Righ now I have a static page.
Continuing learning: I’m testing with Twenty Ten 1.3, I want to remove the search, meta and articles; how can I do that ???
Thanks again
Just try adding an empty Text widget to your sidebar but, if you are only using Pages, the sidebar won’t be shown at all in that theme..
Well I add a empty text and the widget disappear. But if I write a text in my first page for example a parragraph the Website will show me a black space (Empty Text).
I followed all your instruction 100% how can I check that I only using pages like you said. ???
By using only Pages -> Add New and staying away from the Posts sub-menu.
I delete everything, include the sample page. Adding a new page, publish and the same thing search, meta and articles.
Maybe I doing something wrong
That sounds like you are publishing Posts – not Pages.
Well check it again.
Reading settings: A static page
Settings: Discussion I uncheck all
Anything else ??
