• Just to save me hours of searching, can someone please tell me which plugin (assuming one is necessary) or how to create a user that is only allowed to edit one single page; ie their own.

    Thanks.

  • There are a number of different roles that WordPress users can take.

By default new users will be setup as subscribers which means they only have read access. The next level up is a contributor – this role can create and edit their own posts.

You can change the default user role (from subscriber to contributor) on the Settings > General Settings page in the WordPress admin.

    Thanks Monkey.

I did see that but was worried that it may mean that they can edit and delete any post; ie not just their own.

However, I’ll create a new user and give it a go 🙂

Just tried that but it’s not exactly what I need.

I want them to be able to edit pages not posts.

I’ll install one of those Role Editors and see if that helps!
