• My blog is currently down; the guys at my server tell me the WP error logs are generating this:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /export/home1/http/.users/a0/00/2a/fd/dudleyclark.com/www/blog/wp-blog-header.php on line 67

What can I tell them to do?
    Thanks!

  • Delete wp-blog-header.php
    Upload a new one
If that does not help, delete all the wp-* files at root, upload new.
Or you could just delete all the root wp-* files, all those in /wp-admin and those in /wp-includes too, then upload fresh.
Do NOT overwrite – deleted the old stuff first.

Backup before if you are even the slightest bit unsure or if it’s not you doing it.

This seemed to work, but my hosting co sent me this:

After replacing wp-blog-header.php, we received errors in and had to replace the following files as well:

    wp-includes/template-functions-general.php
    wp-includes/template-functions-author.php

Everything now appears to be working.

Please contact the developer to determine what was the cause of this issue, as they seem to be very familiar with the steps to correct it. We will not charge you for the work that we had to do today, but you should contact them to find out what steps to take to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.

    Who is your host ?
We really do need to know ….

Was this an auto-install with Fantastico ?

What plugins are you running ?

And what other errors are being reported ?

I can no longer access my site to tell you what plugins I have; since the problem arose, and the program (yours) was re-installed, I can’t upload blog entries, nor does the login page recognize my username and pssword!!!
