FireFox 11 and RSS whitespace error
-
This is more of an FYI.
I started developing a new blog as I have 100 times before. early in the process I tested the RSS feed when I got this error:
XML Parsing Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entitySince I’ve been around the block a few times I knew that this was caused by whitespace before the XML output. I checked the usual places, wp-config.php, functions.php etc… no luck. I disabled the few plugins I had running… no luck. I changed to the default theme… no luck. I ran the fix-rss plugin… no luck. I upgraded WP from 3.3.1 – 3.3.2… no luck.
I knew that this was specifically a FF issue so in a last ditch effort I checked and there was a FireFox update. I upgraded from FF-11 to FF-12 and BAM, works now.
So again just an FYI, there might be an issue with firefox 11. If nothing seems to work you might want to try upgrading your browser.
