Twitter plugins

I would really appreciate some help with this. I am trying to add a twitter plugin to the only the posts page of my theme, not the pages. But when I activate the twitter plugin, my posts page goes completely white. Is this because my theme does not include a sidebar? Can I add a sidebar to just the posts page, if necessary, and not the pages?

Can anyone suggest a simple way to add a twitter feed to just the posts page of a theme if it does not include a sidebar?
