    It would be best to upgrade your WP to the newest version, 1.5.2. It solves lots of important security problems, and might fix your trackback problems as well. Good luck!

    I have modified more templates. so I didn’t want to upgrade WP to new version. anybody can help me?

    Have you actually read http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress ?

    Unless you modified actual core files (anything NOT in /wp-content/), it won’t be overwritten as long as you don’t upload that folder (which you won’t if you follow the instructions correctly).
