Re-installing wordpress

I have a problem with a recently purchased theme in that the footer keeps floating to the top. It’s something that I have had trouble with in previous themes and i believe it’s a result of something i did a while back, but I can’t remember what it was.

My question is this. If I export all the posts from the current site, uninstall and then re-install wordpress along with importing the posts and theme, will my site be okay? I’d hate for me to do that and it result in my site being down or something else.

My site is http://www.geekshavelanded.com, the theme in question isn’t applied at the moment though.
