thanks, i will look into that.
however i just noticed that no new post i create shows up anymore. no matter what the text inside is?
Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
– re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

i tried all of that now, and it seems the problem is theme related.
after testing other themes the posts appeared as they were supposed to.
this is rather curious, since i didnt change anything and suddenly it stops working…
I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors.

yep, i will try to contact them.
however i have one last question. i noticed that the frontpage is now called “Homepage / Archives” on the sitestats page. it was always called “Homepage” before.
where does the new archives come from? might that be related to my problem somehow?

“Site Stats” under the Jetpack Tab within the Adminpanel.
it says “Homepage / Archives” now instead of just “Homepage” for the clicks on the Mainpage.
Have you switched from a static front page to a Posts page?

you mean Settings > Reading > Frontpage display right?
it has always been “Your latest posts”…
Then I wouldn’t worry about it.

i solved the problem.
it’s like this: i can’t use an already uploaded image for a new article, because for some reason it won’t recognize the featured image. since the mansion theme needs a featured image it won’t show up if it’s not recognized as such.
that means i have to upload a fresh new image for every new article. it works then.
weird, but ok…

Thanks ilium, I just had the same issue and so i deleted pics from my post one at a time and sure enough after deleting 2 pics it works!!!
