Front Page url redirecting.

    I’m making a custom front page with design/css different from the rest of the site.

    I’ve made a custom page template with link to custom css and stripped almost all wp code from it. I won’t be editing it via wp dashboard.
    I’ve created the “front page” in wp with my clean template and a normal news page and then set the static page and the news page in the reading settings.

    Now the problem I have is that when I go to mysite.com it redirects me to
    mysite.com/front-page which is something bad for me…. =C

    Any idea how I can set it so it shows my custom front page at mysite.com and doesnt redirect?

    Seems all I had to do was create a home.php in theme folder.

    edit:
    now if I only knew how to display posts on my custom News page.,,,
