Sight Theme Help

Using the Sight theme by WPSHOWER on http://www.nycartcrime.com and have these questions:

1. Can I use just images for the slideshow? I don’t want the slideshow to be current blog posts. I’d rather have just images or pages that are not part of the site.

2. I’m also trying hard to change the grid hover color from yellow, with no success.

3. On the pages how do I get rid of: “by ADMIN on Apr 3, 2012 • 7:51 pm • Edit entry”
