I am putting a “Back To Top” in several places on a long page and have an anchor at the very top. When it goes up to the top it goes to the top of the article but I want it to go all the way up to the top so that the header and all the tabs are showing.

    How can I do that?

  • What are you using as the anchor? Post a link to your page so people can actually look at your code.

I don’t want to live with my page yet because it is a work in progress. I am anchoring to the very top text on a static page (non-blog) but when I click “Back to Top” I would like it to go all the way to the top just like when the page loads.

If the page is static and the url is stable (i.e. using permalinks), you could use that as your anchor — then it will definitely go to the top…

Yeah I thought about that but won’t it take longer to Load? Or is that OK

    Sorry I am a newbie

Unless you can find an anchor high enough on the page to make it go to the top, I don’t know how else you can accomplish what you want to do. If the page or body has a static ID you could try using that.

Hey i just found a way to do it:

It works without having an anchor!
