FreeSQL?

    This is again one of those most frequently asked questions, but I just don’t get it…it’s not clear what do I enter in the wp_config file! I have a FreeSQL account (www.freesql.org) but when I enter my db name and the username and pass in the config file, it gives that same error – “Error establishing a database connection” – what do I do? I entered the correct db name, do I have to enter the DB_host tag in the config file? And if so, where would I find the address? Thanks in advance.

    Since your database is not on your webhost’s account you will have to provide the exact addrsss(location) on the freesql.org web server.

    I would start with that website to begin with. When you have all the necessary information and are still having problems with WP establishing the connection we can provide some assistance.

    But if you don’t have all the necessary info to begin with, it’s pretty hard for us to help you.
