Live posting

Hi, i wondered if there was any scripts or plugins for wordpress that made it easier to post many updates with a short amount of time between them, and also choose an icon to go with every updates. this is because i want to make a live football (soccer) site and post events as they happen.

example:
5 mins. short description of the happening (and an icon to go with that, maybe a yellow card or a “!” to show that there was a big chance..

do you know what i mean and do you know if this has been done?
