• I have Microsoft WordPad and EditPad Lite, neither will let me save the necessary document as a .php file. How to I do this? thank you!

  • Just use the *.* option, any I think they call it and manually type the .php at the end of the filename, you might also want to look at jEdit as an alternative editor.

    Save as a text file. Name the file as example.php etc.

    I use EditPad Lite exclusively and it will let you save with a php extension, just type the name you want to save it as and include the extension. Better yet, set the extension in the preferences.
