[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Theme-dependent Default View?

    I am using WPtouch pluging so that my page is more usable on mobile devices. I set The Events Calendar’s default view to “Event List” with mobile users in mind, but I would actually prefer that users accessing the site with full browsers default to “Calendar” view. Is there a way to have a different default view for each type of user?

    Hey there jmessick. Thanks for the note here; that’s an interesting request and I can definitely see the value there. Unfortunately at this point we don’t have any functionality along these lines in the plugin – the default view you set is applied across all users. You may be able to change this by modifying the core files of the plugin but those changes would be overwritten upon your next update and are definitely not recommended.

    I understand. With more folds developing with the web in mind you might keep it in mind for a future product. Thanks for the response.

    We do have this logged in the Events TBD pile…as we plot out future releases this one will certainly be given consideration.
