Site is running slooooooooow

So I know this isn’t the best practice, but I couldn’t figure out how to do this any other way. I needed to make a test site, but I couldn’t get it to work offline at all. So I copied a few of the database tables into a new wordpress installation in a testing directory on my site. I know, I know, there are better ways, but I was in a hurry.

Now, I did install WP Super Cache, and I tried turning off my plugins, but it’s still slow. And the original site is fast. And I called my hosting company and they can’t help because they say it isn’t slow for them. But it’s slow for everyone else and in all browsers.

So can anyone help?

Basically, everything past /testing is slow, including wp-admin
