Changing site name tab display

I’m getting a crappy em-dash (elongated hyphen) next to my site name’s display on browser tabs. I figured it was controlled through Settings->General under “Site Title”, but as it stands now it looks exactly how I want it to look…no em-dash. Why is it displaying as it is?
