• Hi,

At the moment when a normal users writes a post they can only save it as a ‘Draft’, the admin has to the log-in and can only see the persons post under Other Drafts.

Is this normal or can it be set so that it is sent to the Awaiting Moderation section and the admin emailed about it – just like when comments are waiting to be approved?

If not how would I add the total number of Drafts waiting next to the Manage -> Posts title? e.g. Posts (9)
    thanks, Mike

still need this answering guys…. 🙂

I know of no official “moderation queue” mechanism (either built in, or from a plugin).

There’s currently no way for an author to differentiate between a draft they save that is a work-in-progress and a drfat that they save that is complete.

You’ll need to ask your authors to email you when they’r done; or put some token in the post title (“[COMPLETE]” for example), which will signify to you that the post is ready to be published. You’ll need to remember to remove that token from the post title before publishing.

is it possible for an email to be sent to the admin user when any Drafts are done automatically??
