Finally found the fix. My virtualhost was running PHP in a CGI wrapper as the virtaul server owner. I changed that setting to FCGId as the virtual server owner and bam – everything is working now. All of the weirness (Invalid Post Type errors, pages disappearing form the admin list of pages when I change the permalink type, insufficient permissions on some admin pages, etc) is gone! Three days in the crapper but at least it is all working now.
I am having problems with this error code when a client fills in their name and address on an weber form on my site. It sends the requested info, but an “invalid post type” message appears after they click on submit? I am not technical, how do i change the setting as in the above message to see if this works for me? I am hosted by Blue Host (if this helps)?
