after auto-upgrade

    I did auto upgrade
    then received message saying data base needed updating (I have had this before and never had a problem)
    after I select the updaste wordpress database button I get this error message:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_db_schema() in /var/www/vhosts/howtowriteagrant.org/httpdocs/wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php on line 1455

    so what can I do to fix this??
