• I was changing wp theme on my blog (http://SankarReddy.com) from Atahualpa to Splendio back to Atahualpa and suddenly my blog is asking for password and its NOT taking my wp password.

Any pointers to get my site back up? Your time is greatly appreciated.

Can anyone tell if this behavior means, my website is hacked or just something messed up with the themes?

Either by ftp or logging in to your hosted site. Rename Atahalpa and Splenidio. That will force wp to open with the default theme.

Use an ftp client such as FileZilla and rename both theme folders (mentioned above) to old-themefoldername (this will invoke the default theme) If that does not work rename the plugin folder to old-plugin. Then research where the login code is coming from. Also check your .htaccess file for any unusual lines.

Thanks guys, but I can’t even get to my site directly or via FTP. FTP says login incorrect and website just asks for password. Totally stumped.

Your webhost can reset/provide you with the ftp login info and settings to use.
