New Install not doing anything

    Ok,
    I have just installed wordpress onto my WHS 2011 I am already running 2 phpBB3 forum boards but my wordpress install is blank when I try to connect locally and I get an error 500 when I try to connect remotely. Can someone please give me some advice.

    Do you have an URL so we can see the error. Typically, a blank screen is indicative of a PHP error and you have error bebugging turned off.

    as I said I have 2 phpBB3 boards running on this same server, they are using php v5.3.10 and mysql v5.1

    Also RichardWPG I have attempted this brand new install three times, all with the same results.

    anyone have any other ideas please this is driving me nuts, I really want to host my own blog.

    You’re getting a 500 error which is generic in nature. You’ll want to look at the server’s error logs to determine the exact cause. Typically, 500 errors that I’ve seen are related to file permissions. You’ll want to make sure your file permissions and ownership is correct.
