Permalinks changed without me instructing them to!!

    Also I am trying to update pages and they wont update. For example I add text or a link to a page, It wont let me do Preview Changes, so I save the page but the text has not been saved. It reverts back to the original page

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress 3.0.1.

    thank esmi.

    If i re-upload the wp-admin and wp-includes will i loose any of my settings / information.

    I done the website over 18 months ago and cant remember everything I did back then to set it up.
