WordPress installed in subdirectory not working

    Hello,

    I edited the config.php file with my new database user info, installed the files to a subdirectory of a website and when I point my browser complete the installation it goes to what looks like a plain version of the site we already have without graphics.

    It is possible someone tried to install wordpress already for this site, but unsuccessfully. Can anyone help me figure out where to go from here?

    Here is a copy of what I see when I try to complete the installation:

    You can try in switch to default theme and see if you have same problem.

    I checked and you have wordpress folder inside wordpress folder you need to have contents of wordpress.So move the content in wordpress folder. As is you have /wordpress/wordpress

    As govpatel said your WordPress is installed in a subfolder of the wordpress folder called wordpress. Try moving the contents of that folder up one directory via FTP.
