• Hi there.

I am convinced is a user error as i have been using WP for about 2 days now. I am building a site for a friend and have some content on there now that we are happy with.

I decided to use Yoast SEO to optimise the site and as such have been very happy as it has helped me to understand how SEO works a little.

The sitemaps are being created which is great. however webmaster tools is not having them submitted (says no sitemaps found for this site)

Its probably a config issue but in the SEO setup under webmaster tools section of the dashboard of SEO do i add the full <meta content="xxxxxx" name="google-site-verification"> in the field or just the verification code?

Site is already verified via DNS but i assumed it needs to code to submit it to google?

Anything else i need to setup for the SEO plugin to sent to google?

    Thanks in advance

    Steve

Hmm i guess i may have found the answer.. but if you could confirm?

I have to manually submit the index in google webmaster tools, and then thereafter it sends a ping to google to go fetch the sitemap again?

If this is right please let me know… told you i was new to this!

    Steve
