  • Try checking your server’s error logs for clues. In the meantime, have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thanks for your response.

I deleted the plugins through FTP (because I can’t open wordpress to edit the blog) but that didn’t work.

At the bottom of the error page it says
“Apache Server at amyjackson-photography.com Port 80”

Does that tell me where to find the error?

    No it doesn’t. Try:

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

I switched to the Twenty Eleven theme.

I tried to reset the plugins folder. It worked through FTP but when I try to login to wp admin it says “You do not have sufficient permission to access this page”

Now instead of showing the error when I load the site, it is just blank. I don’t know if this is good or bad… ha.

Is there a tutorial on how to re-upload files from a fresh download of wordpress?

    Thanks for helping me!

    Thank you!
