• Hey guys,
I’ve been trying to figure this out but haven’t been able to. When you change an option in the online logged in screen, what file does it modify. My specific question on this one is: When I change the time and date display options, I clearly use PHP parameters for the date function in standard PHP. Got that. But, what file is it actually changing in the wordpress heirarchy? I can’t seem to find what the GUI modifies. Thanks in advance!

  • The options that you control from the admin screens are all stored in the database. The only time you’re ever actually modifying a file in the directory structure is in the Templates screen. And then, only if you’ve made the files writable.
