Problems upon launching wp-install

    Greetings…having a few setup problems.
    When I tried to launch wp-install in Internet Explorer, I got the following:
    SQL/DB Error —
    [
    Error establishing a database connection!
    Are you sure you have the correct user/password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?
    ]
    SQL/DB Error —
    [
    Error selecting database wordpress!
    Are you sure it exists?
    Are you sure there is a valid database connection?
    ]
    Then, underneath that, the “Welcome to wordpress” paragraph. Any ideas what’s wrong?

    No, I haven’t. I’ve just been following the 5 min install and I made it to step 5. Do I need to manually create a database?

    Well, your error message means either you didn’t put the right username/password/etc in wp-config.php, or you don’t have a database created at all. If the latter is the case, then you need to manually create one.
