Include EXTERNAL File

    Okay,

    On the site I am working on, we are using an external ad manager. Recently, I have been tasked to redesign the site to run inside wordpress.

    Here is my issue: I don’t seem to be able to do a PHP include to include files that are not inside the WordPress templates. However, due to the nature of the situation, I HAVE to include an external file.

    I would like to know if there is a proper way to do this. I have seen mentions of plugins in the past, but every plugin I have found is at least a year out of date.
