[Plugin: Event Calendar / Scheduler] Categories / Color Coding

I’ve successfully implemented the plug-in here (http://mygsis.gsis.edu.hk/news/school-holidays/#date=2012-01-27,mode=year), however I need to be able to visually differentiate between school holidays and public holidays, and other special non-school days. The most obvious thing would be to colour code, but I presume this would require categories – which I can’t see that this supports… yet. Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.
