• Hello all!

My website http://www.freebieshark.com frequently has been getting a lot of errors when experiencing high traffic. I never used to have this issue. I have not installed any new plug-ins at all.

My host gator account shows this process, constantly reoccuring..maybe causing my site to crash?
    /usr/bin/php /home/freebies/public_html/index.php

    Any help is appreciated!!

  • Have you checked the server’s error logs? Or tried contacting your hosts about it? They may be able to help you pinpoint the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply! I am not sure how to check the server’s error logs. How can that be done?

Also- I have contacted Host gator multiple times. The last person I spoke with said I have too many processes and this process is the cause. I can’t figure out how to stop this process from reoccuring!

Hostgator should be able to point you in the right direction.

    this process is the cause

I think they could provide a lot more detail that that if they were pushed a little. You could try deactivating plugins to see if this helps. And/or switching to the Twenty Eleven theme but I don’t see anything on your home page that stands as as a possible resource hog.

Try asking them if they can move you to another server. Perhaps it’s not your site that is the issue…

Thanks for the tips. I will contact them again to see if they can help. I am not sure what is causing this, and it is really irritating!
