    Think I might have solved it by adding the following to the stylesheet.

    #access ul ul li{
    width: 100% !important;
    }

    I updated a bit so the submenus show the links in one single line instead of wrapping the text to the width of the main links:

    #access ul ul li{
    width: 100% !important;
    white-space: nowrap;
    }
