[Plugin: Events Manager] EM not compatible with Plugin "Simple Facebook Connect"

Hi there,

I’m using the Plugin EM on a website (http://xn--jr-wstensachsen-2vb.de/?page_id=238/&calendar_day=2011-09-23). When I activate only this Plugin all is working fine.
But when I activate another Plugin called “Simple Facebook Connect” the Events description disappears.

So it should look:

I wrote this problem first to the developer of the SFC Plugin, but his answer was:
“It’s a bug in the events manager plugin, not in SFC. The events
manager plugin needs to be fixed to use filters or shortcodes
properly.”

Can you fix the problem? I want to use both Plugins 😉

can you post those images in some other site? sadly were block. And also what happen if you use default theme?

Hi,

with the Theme “Twenty Ten” it looks also broken. The right ‘Primary Widget Area’ is on the left and the content of the homepage is missing.

what post is that on? if they can explain why maybe I’ll change it (can’t think why they’re messing with post content anyway)

Sorry, but what do you mean exactly? Who should explain what?

I only want to use both Plugins…
…yours for managing the Events
and
…the other one to sign in via Facebook

the SFC people, do you have a link to where they said this? if they know it’s us doing something wrong, some more details would be nice.

I wrote an E-Mail with the same images as here to the developer. The Answer was also a E-Mail.
Maybe you can send him an E-Mail as well. You can find his mail address on the plungin page: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-facebook-connect/ at the bottom => “If you have suggestions for a new add-on, feel free to email me at otto@ottodestruct.com”

Thanks for your support.

After the update today it looks similar to this (http://xn--jr-wstensachsen-2vb.de/forum/hp_with_SimpleFacebookConnect.png) but the sidebar is on the right side like it has to be. But there’s sill no content.

Spoke to Otto already, he had some feedback, not sure exactly what the problem is but will test this out asap.

sorry this took ages to get to, but have you managed to get this working? Your site seems to be displaying fine now.

I’ve spent some time testing this plugin out and it works fine for me.

My site only looks fine because the plugin is not active.

When both plugins (Events Manager 5.1.7 and Simple Facebook Connect 1.3) are activated the page crashes. Then Event Pages (http://jr-wüstensachsen.de/?event=foo-bar) are without any content.

have you tested this with the default twentyeleven theme? I have a feeling you have a theme/plugin conflict with something else.
