  • I think this will work: try downloading the Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin from the repository, then once it is installed, change the tag base from /tag/whateverthetagis to simply /whateverthetagis … make sense? So, I think from there you can work out some kind of system that will work out close to what you are wanting … I don’t know if you can give the tags heirarchies – you might can; if not, you could always make one tag called tutorials, then another called tutorials-css, then give a post both of those tags …. it’s worth a shot. Again, I’m not sure though – are you wanting it to look that way for the sake of the URL in terms of the user, or just for heirarchy/organizational purposes?

I just want everything categorized mainly.

Like my portfolio is the same way, like /portfolio/art/ or /portfolio/web/ and stuff like that.

Just seeing if there was a way to do the same with tutorials instead of going through the hassle of doing pages manually.

do you need something like this: (?)
    http://www.skippy.net/
    in Series 1.8.0

I’m not sure if I get your point.

No not like that, ill try and figure something out.

Would I just have to do this manually by making pages?

Why manually? Isn’t there a Page feature in WP? Actually Pages can have subpages and sub-subpages…

If you’re looking to try and user %category% in your permalink structure (with Apache 1.3), take a look at a couple of Ryan’s rewrite rules plugins:
