CHMOD refuses to play ball

    Having a few problems with the WPG2 plugin ……

    I have been CHMODing the g2admin.php file to 777 but everytime I close the ftp it reverts back to its original state …664 and so cannot be seen

    “Warning: main(g2adminvalidate.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/barganews/daily2/wp-content/plugins/wp-gallery2/g2admin.php”

    Is there a file somewhere which is deciding the CHMOD permission for me ?

    thanks if anybody has any answers … I have spent all day trying to sort this out without success. I want to use this plugin, but I am one step away from deleting the whole shooting match and forgetting about using this gallery ….. patience is a virtue ?? hahahaha

    Nope. What is happening is that the CHMOD’ing hasn’t taken effect at all. CHMOD’ing via a FTP client is server dependent. SSH (or telnet) to the box and chmod it using the shell.
