Uploading theme not working

    Hi, I downloaded a wordpress theme through themeforest. I use dreamhost for webhosting and I’ve been trying to upload the theme that I’ve downloaded on to wordpress but it’s not working. I’ve gone through the install themes and upload method, but it continues to say that it failed and to keep trying again. I’ve done this numerous times until I decided to do the FTP method in which I use the server zubeneschamali.dreamhost.com through webftp.dreamhost.com. I tried to upload the theme through there but it says that it’s too big, so I went the old school way and literally uploaded each file/folder individually in it’s right place and moved the whole theme in it’s entirety into the wp-content/themes section. I still don’t see it appearing. Please help?!

    Themes from ThemeForest are often zipped up with additional folders, psd files etc together with the actual theme folder. You may need to unzip the original file and upload only the directory with the actual theme files.

    If you having issues you should seek support from the vendor at ThemeForest.

    I am having the same issue with my theme through theme forest. The file unzip’s fine onto my computer into all the necessary files, but the .zip archive will not upload itself through the theme upload selection. I am searching for the best way to resolve this, and if you find anything out @antonandmarie would you please email me at bridger.baird@gmail.com?

    @premiumwp how would I know which folder/directory has the actual theme files?
    @perpetualtime I found this via themeforest.com http://wiki.envato.com/selling/upload-instructions/themeforest-wordpress-upload-instructions/ regarding the issue we are having but does not explain entirely what to do if in doubt the upload via wordpress does not work. I am contacting the support team for further help on this issue. If you find anything else, please let me know!
