    Hello!

I have a new theme that I purchased from Themeforest and I’m trying to set it up with WordPress. The problem I am encountering is that I am hosting from HostGator and have installed WordPress and the theme on the cPanel, but when I log in as an admin to WordPress the theme isn’t appearing. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I should also add – does it make a difference that I switched the nameserver from wordpress to hostgator for my domain name? I thought they weren’t related, but just to throw that out there as well.

How exactly did you install the theme?

I installed it on the cPanel as a .zip file into the themes folder in wp-content and then unzipped it so that the entire folder appeared.

    Hey!

This can happen if the theme was contained in a sub folder in the zip file. Make sure you have something like this in your file manager

    /themes/PurchasedThemeFolder/style.css

Basicly for a theme to register in wp it needs to find a style.css file in the first level of a theme folder

Unpack the archive on your computer first. Also check out the documentation on ThemeForest about installing their themes.
