Installation Fail

    uploaded a zip file to install a theme from within the dashboard at the install themes tab. install failed got the message style.css stylesheet not found. O.K. Fine. I open the the zip file and looked inside . I found a file style.css I don’t know if that is what the installation message was referring to. I am not html or css coder I just want the thing to install any useful tips will be appreciated . Thank you .

    WordPress themes have to have a valid style.css and index.php files. So just because there’s a style.css file, doesn’t mean it is valid. Basically it needs some comments at the top of the file. You can view what is needed here.

    Maybe this is a dumb question, but did you unzip the file after you uploaded it? Because PHP can’t access the files within an archive. You have to unzip them in order to install a theme.

    Is this a premium theme as there are other files and folder bundled in and one them folder should be a theme folder that needs to be in wp-content/themes
