Well, I surprised myself and did something that worked. Using the Text widget, I entered

Not quite right; if the playlist is more than 8 items long the balance is hidden rather than responding to the overflow with a scrollbar. Some css might fix it. Anyway, this the first playlist solution that I’ve managed to make work.
